for my homework, the sentence i have to copy this from this book and it looks exactly like this:
"I called you California, your real, honest, and true name, given to you by Uncle Kanda to commemorate your birth in this glorious state," I said.

the teacher said to put quotation marks around the sentence since i am copying it from the book but i don't know how to do it with this sentence

We live in Dallas, Texas if that helps. He was convicted of a felony a few years back but he still applied to some medical schools in the state. Some schools gave him interviews but some of the schools he applied to rejected him without an interview. Since he had some interviews, does he have a chance? I mean, there are so many qualified applicants that apply to medical schools, it seems like he doesn't have a good chance. But he does have good grades and got a good score on the MCAT.

I am a freshmen in college, and since I know little about college, I get asked alot from people about my major. I tell them Child Development in Practition. After that, they ask, what's your minor then? Thats where I get stumped. I have no clue what they are talking about. What the heck does that mean?

You know how if you copy a sentence from a book, you put quotations around it right? what if the sentence already has quotations around it? do you just put one set of quotation marks or is there something special you do to it?

I'm doing a mythology essay on Perseus and Medusa. It needs a thesis statement. I have no Idea what to put as the thesis statement. This is what I got for the intro so far:
If you were faced with the trouble of having to kill a monster in order to please your king would you? Young Perseus did. He kilt Medusa the woman that was so ugly that she turned any man to stone with just one look. He kilt her a way that no one would ever think of ever trying. Some say he couldn’t have done it without the help of the gods.

Is that good? If not than please help me. My sister and Mother and brother are sleep and the project is due tommorow please help me even though I should have been done it.

Of course, I am assuming "Please advise" is correct but others believe "Please advice" is correct. Hundreds of examples of either being used are evident on the web.
