Education & Reference - 3 December 2006

I am stuck on these 2 problems. How would you use L'hospitals rule to solve for:

1) lim as x->0+ (((3x +1)/x) - (1/sinx))
and
2)lim as x-> 0 (e^x + x)^(1/x)

Any help would be much appreciated. Who ever knew calculus could be so tough. Lol.

What is the best way to study for the MCAT? About how much time should I spend studying for it? About how many hours? How many weeks or months before the test should I start? How do people get in the high 30's and low 40's? Do they just study more or what is it? Is there a secret?

I'm studying logic and I'm on a chapter that talks abouts operations and contigent and horseshoes and dots and triple bars. Does anyone know of a good site I can look at to learn ?? ok so here it is ...

One student tosses a chalkboard eraser horizontally so that the eraser hits the ground 5 meters away. At exactly the same time, another student drops the same type of eraser. Which eraser hits the ground first ? Explain

I think that they will hit the ground at the same time...but isn't that only during free fall?

Hi! I dropped out of school in 8th grade. I would now be in the 12th grade graduating this year. I am now starting to regret dropping out. I really would like to return to school next year and graduate. I never really worried about it until I heard my aunt talking to my mom about my cousin graduating this year and just to see the look on my mom's face was enough to kill me. I would like to know if anyone knows how this would work out. I'm not sure how to go about it. I know I don't have any of the high school credits so does anyone know if there is a way I can make up all the credits for 9-11th grade?Could someone please just help me out.If anyone has any idea about the credits could you please let me know.I did a few courses with the American School.Does anyone know if I completed the rest of the courses if they could use those as credits for graduation. i really dont agree that schools should pass them out but i waas thinking during a sex eduction week or just in the nurses office. i have been doing some research and it says that students dont show an increase of sexual behavior when condoms are given out at schools. so..........what do you think
