If you're in special ed, chances are you have a learning disability. Talk to a parent to be sure and to find out more about your specific kind of disability.

Talk to your teacher, too, and explain that you want to know more about your disability and how you can overcome it.

You can also go to www.ldonline.org for more information about learning disabilities. It's something you'll have to live with the rest of your life, so you may as well learn to live with it and how to overcome it.

Do you remember being tested by your teacher or another teacher? Maybe the school psychologist gave you the test? Anyway, that's how teachers determine if you have a disability and what you need to learn. Then your teacher will teach what you need to learn and if you make progress then GREAT! If you need more instruction then get more from your teacher. We all need to learn and sometimes we need creative teachers to help us learn difficult things.

Teachers are supposed to be trained to know what each student needs help in. Each student learns in a different way.

If you speak in the same fashion as you write, you no doubt have a learning disability.
