I am doing a crossword puzzle for medical terminology and I need to know another term for vertebrae. I have these letters
_ _ I _ E I thought it might be spine but when I looked it up that just means spine not vertebrae... My teacher makes us answer very specific so I am just not sure... Thanks!!

This simile is found in the Spring Chapter where Pecola's mother, Pauline, is telling about her life, how she came to marry Cholly, and when she gave birth to her children.
