I have to a short report on how scientists know what the inside of the earth is made of. (I don't have a science textbook.) I'm having a hard time finding the information. Can you please help me??

Scientists study the inside of the earth through a variety of different disciplines, among them geology, volcanology, and seismology. You can google those, or since you have a few days, get to a library a check out some basic science books.

they believe the coreis solid becuase of the constant pressure that the rest of the earth would be pressing on it due to centripital force and gravity.

not sure how hey know about the other layers though
