When the school gives tests, you are not informed of the pages that covers the tests. In another word, you cannot prepare for it since you do not know what quetions would be asked. This is not the typical midterm or final exam. How do you call this type of tests?

I am in an Honors freshman English class. My class only read what was in our reading books, which was about forty pages of the actual book The Odyssey (that explains the reference pg. #s in 800's).

Topic: I chose to defend that Odysseus changed from his journey.

Theme: I chose to incorporate in my discussion that "experience shapes us and forces us to reconsider our perceptions of the world."

Main points of 3 body paragraphs:
1. Changed qualities of Odysseus
2. Lessons Odysseus learned
3. Rewards Odysseus receives and earns from the gods

I will introduce my essay in paragraphs, and a new paragraph starts when I state it does.

By the way, my essay is about three pages long when double-spaced on Microsoft Word with a size 12 Times New Roman Font.

I am currently in college, and I am interested in possibly going to graduate school to get a Ph. D. in history. I am very interested in history and have top grades in all of my classes.

I am having trouble finding information about grad school.

What do graduate classes consist of? I have heard they mainly consist of papers. But are their exams also? I do well at both, but I prefer to write over taking exams.

What is it about reading proficiency in foreign language? Some programs required proficiency in two languages. That sounded very tough. Foreign language is by all means my greatest weakness.

What else is there to know about graduate school?

Ok, so I'm doing a report on the ending of the book, how the last 8 chapters or so didn't fit in with the rest of the book. Can anyone help me with ideas to support my thesis, which will be something like, "After chapter 31, the story does not fit in with the rest of the book. i need alot of suggestion what you all do if your little one is afraid
of the dark our little boy wants every light on in the house at night
time. he will cry and say i dont like night time. he says he is afraid

if you enjoy Literati ,you may have ever seen this sentence next to the Literati image on the yahoo game page.
i am not english speaker.english grammar as i've learned,
"an" is used if the noun starts with vowel letters.such as a,e,i,o,u.
but this case,just "L" is all letter of noun.
why is "an" used?
