Do you dread your first day or wait for it with bated breath, eager to start the school year anew?

I start again tommorrow ( I'm in college, part time, third year attending ) and I am so excited to get back into the swing of things. The dog days of summer hit me hard this year.But I do understand feeling uneasy about school, or just plain hating it. My High School days consisted of those two feelings.



But enough about me, how do you feel the night before?
Feel free to elaborate.

And yes I am a geek, ( or nerd, or dork, or bookworm, or however you wish to label it) no need to inform me!

My nine year old asked me this. I told him for practice in breaking down math problems generally into smaller components. He wasn't entirely satisfied with that and doubted in real life anyone would need to do this. And in my computer networking work - I have never had to factorialize anything. :-) In college calculus I don't think it came up there either. So why do we "torture" the little guys with this stuff anyhow? :-) I imagine there is in fact a good answer.
