First of all thanks for having a question that actually belongs in this section. There are adult reading programs available. Check with your local social service organizations,call the library also they usually know. If you have a headstart program for children they have programs to help adults with reading and writing.

Call your local school district office or try the local civic center for social services. Someone at either of these places should be able to direct you to free convenient resources.
