In French, it s mostly used in the context of housing.

A "studio" is a one room flat ;-).. guess that s what you re looking for.

Further more studio also can have the same meaning as in English.

The French call an artist's studio an "atelier". They have borrowed "studio" from English to mean a recording studio, or a "studio flat".
