buoyancy is the term used to define how an object 'float' when placed in a liquid. If the object rises to the surface it is said to be Possitively buoyant. If it sinks to the bottom, it is considered to be negatively buoyant. If it does neither but stayes at the same level in the fluid then it is consdered to be neutrally buoyant.

Hope this helps!

An object that is Neutrally bouyant wieghs the same as the element its in(usually water or air), and therefore can maintain a constant depth in that element.
A positively buoyant object will eventually float to the surface of an element, and a negatively (Do I have to finish this?) Buoyant object is heavier than the element its in, meaning it sinks.

srry I'm not smart enough to answer that but then I know that a person if unconcious will float if they are very fat and has low bone density but high bone density but is very skinny and that I will not sink too far deep in quicksand!!
