The cost of buying books can up quickly. Are there any good sites where we can download short stories off the internet as an alternative to buying books or going to the library?

Hi I am student of XII. My subjects are non-medical. I am preparing for competitive exams. As the days are coming closer my concentration on my studies is reducing. I am not able to give 100% to my studies. The problem I am facing is when i sit to study my mind get diverted & start thinking about other things like music,serials,marriage& about my future& my all time get wasted. Plz suggest someways so that I can only concentrate on my studies& get focusse because my career depends on the 4-5 months left.Plz..........................

I have a friend, and it seems like all she cares about is being cool...she says she hates preps..but the preps are considered cool, therefore she wants to be one, but not act like one. if that makes any sence....She always says she'll hang out with us (her friends) unless of course she gets invited to hang out with someone above us, then she would hang out with them...just to be cool. She's called us all "dorks, inmature, ect." when in real life I believe we are much more mature than her. We're just your average teenage girls. Not "popular" not "geeks or nerds" we're just average. How can we explain to her that being popular isn't everything? ((Sorry for all the lables, and the length of this question))
