Ur question reminds me of my school and college days when we were assigned by the teachers to write short stories on different topics. Sometimes it could be written successfully and sometimes we had to seek the help of seniors, elders and teachers. These days Internet is rich source of information. How about finding some other parents in your community with a similar problem, I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love to get into a book recycling program with other parents. A few flyer's maybe a little space at a school or church or community building, the Internet and you could have something started.

If you're in a major city there might be a book re-seller like Half-Price Books where you can buy books for a fraction of what they cost new I think they sell on line as well. Also check out Amazon books, often books are incredibly cheap. I would just make sure that books aren't too dated so that your daughter stays interested in books that she can relate to, instead of being frustrated.

Good reading to you and your daughter!

Peace

I would reccommend going to second hand markets and garage sales to buy books. You could even look on ebay. When buying books also look out for the stories with multiple endings, this is where the reader chooses the path at the end of a chapter. They are also alot of fun.

I would recommend talking to your daughter's teacher and see what she has to say. Does her school have a library that she can borrow books from? That might be a good place to start. I'm sure if you look you can find online sites where you can download books, but they probably will not be of the same quality as the books you can buy.

ok, you download off the internet and she sits there and focuses on the screen for the duration of the story. That can put a strain on her young eyes. You print them, you have the expense of ink. So, whats wrong with the library? They are free. Visit some garage sales and see if they are selling used childrens books.

Ever heard of "rent-a-book"? It has every book your kid would possible need, and it's free. It's spelled: l-i-b-r-a-r-y.
