the topic is the death penalyt i do not htink it is moral its a persuacive essay and my rubric tells me i need a thesis statement that names the topic of the essay and the many points to be discussed but i cant think of a witty thesis staement i mean its hard to describe the points i make because i would perfer life imprisonment be given to people than the death penalty but i think that life imprisonment is too cusshy cushy io believe that we should throw people in solitary confinement you know little white rooms with no human contact and no electronics just a toilet and a blanket, i believe that an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind i believe that i would rather have a mruderer living than be responsible for killling him killing is killing no matter why you do it so killing for punishment or revenge is just as wrong as what they have done i believe that we as people have no right to step in on the lords work by punishing people but how do i write this as a thesis statement

in MODERN schools. Do we have the qualified staff to teach the subject?
I think the standard of spoken english is terrible among young people. I am not wanting 'posh' accents but understandable grammatical sentence structure. You hear apalling mistakes and bad grammar all the time.
This question has been on here before and it was interesting reading the answers. NOW LET US HAVE SOME MORE FROM TEACHERS MAYBE?

When I was in Special Education back in HIgh School, My teacher didn't want me in a math class or history class cause he doesn't trust me being in those classes. He may think I am not good enough or smart enough to be in some regular academic classes.
Why are Special education teachers get so picky when they choose a boring mainstream class kids didn't even signed up for?

I'm amazed (in a good way) at the level of energy people put in answering questions. What a great way to test out an issue. But I wonder how old typical users here are. Do you go to school? Have jobs or careers?

This is cool! Of course, some responses are petty and irritating--but this is offset by the occasional, well conceived replies.

My guess is that many here are students and have the leisure time to explore this new world where instant feedback is offered. I suspect that we all better be ready to hear the truth--or at least, the truth as others perceive it. Well, bring it on!
