The dodo bird was killed off in the mid to late 1600s (the exact year is disputed). The Israel painted frog (also called the Palestinian painted frog or the Hula Painted Frog) died off due to human drainage of the marshes in the 1950's.

I really don't know, but you could ask your local library. But I do know there is this one bird that's now extinct, somebody shot off the last of them further back, I just don't know the name.
