I'm planning to apply to them when I turn 18 and I would like to know if anyone could tell me what I need to get accepted to either of them?

You need to first take the ASVAB test. It's basically a qualifiying exam for all branches of air force and military/army/marines/navy. If you take it before you get out of high school, the test is easier. Most students pass it with ease. Out of high school the test is a lot harder.
Then, I would suggest talking to a recuiter. They will guide you along the road of what you need to do and when you need to do it. Most of the time, recuitors will come to your high school. Or talk to your counselor about getting in touch with them.

If you are from India you need to appear for the examinations that is help by the UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) sometime in January every year ( check this pls it was held on Jan16 this year ) for the NDA ( National Defence Academy ). Please read all instruction in these forms very carefully and if you do not understand certain things be sure to ask. The last date for acceptance of these forms is Nov. So if you want to appear in the NDA exams next year 2007 then you have to apply before Nov2006. of course if you get through you would be qualified for the SSB interview upon clearing which you need to pass the medical exam!
