Has your waiter ever sat at your table and told you how tough their day has been?

I had dinner at Longhorns last night and everything was great the service was fast and the food was great. The tab came to $50 and I left a $12 tip. Do you think this was to much/to little? And what would you have left?

Whats happened to work ethics in this country???Japan is always quoted when people speak of excellemnt service and no tipping but whats up with all the bad service here in america is our standard that low ?? I hear people crying about low wages but no one puts their money where their mouth is ....Instead they blame the customer instaed of their boss...Why is it the customers job to evaluate the wait staff and pay them accordingly ....Please don't tell me thats how they get paid !! Or say food pricees would go up...I'm tired of that silly excuse of an argument...
I don't even understand the managers attitudes about lousy food...When I took the time to mention it ....I heard...
1.NO our food is great everyone likes it =>denial
2.Why didn't you tell me before while you were eating it ??Why tell me after??? (like it's my fault they served me trash)
3.The most common....the blank stare..!!
I really wonder why more people don't speak out

OK, I am 18 years old and I need money for college.
About how much money do Hooters girls make?
Also, I am fair skinned, and I have a lot of freckles, and red hair. Basically, I look and am reaaaallly Irish. I am worried about those suntan hose they wear. Will they reject me because I am fair? I noticed girls of all skin colors work there, but I look unique in that regard. I have the typical body shape and face for a Hooter's girl, however.
Oh, and don't criticize me about the whole "Hooters girl" thing, please. Money for college, people. I work at a large entertainment company on the weekends scaring people dressed up in an ugly halloween costume, and I get some pretty nasty sexual comments there for whatever reason, and I can handle it. Some people are just gross, cry all the way to the bank.

The story goes, they went on a Dutch Date at McDonald's and she wanted just a plain burger, nothing in it except meat, I guess. But instead, she got a regular burger, and the cooker was discusted, and spit on the burger in the back, and she happened to see this. We know this is a felony, is there any chance that they could bring this to court and get restitution? Because they just walked out with a free meal.

I am hosting my Groom's dinner in the Bay area in May.
