When I was adding my tip onto my dinner receipt (last night), I wrote how much i wanted to tip, but I added incorrectly, adding $3 more to the total (ex: 12.00 + 2.50 = 17.50) It's not a big deal, but I'm wondering what they are going to charge me. This morning, I checked my bank statement online, and the restaurant's only charged me for my meal so far, with no tip. Will the restaurant charge my tip later or have they already totaled my bill last night and just didn't charge me tip since my total was incorrect?

If you're out for a nice dinner and the waiter/waitress is just being stupid, is it wrong to have smack them? Causually just ask them to lean down and smell your food, and then bam!!! Smack them in the face, of course then run like crazy maybe screaming stuff!?

I never know what to do, they don't really serve and they did not take the order..so really all they are doing is the same service a mc donalds counter person does and i don't tip them..so what does everyone do when it comes to eating at a sonic ??

I was always taught that you tip people that have provided you with personal service, but have not charged you a seperate labor fee.

For example:
We are supposed to tip a waiter, hair stylist, cab driver, hotel porter, and these type of people that provide a service without charging a seperate labor charge.

We are NOT supposed to tip the auto mechanic, the handyman, the appliance repair person, the shoe repairer.

I recently watched a movie with Anthony Hopkins and he is riding in a cab that drives him to the motel. The cab driver was rude throughout the ride.
When it came to paying for the fare, Anthony though the fare was a bit steep, but that is what was on the meter, so thats what he paid.
The cab driver became angry and demanded that he pay at least 10% percent more as a tip. A tip is expected the cab driver says.

Why is it wrong to not leave a tip at all if you have bad service?
I realize that some people never tip and I think that is wrong.

Have you ever walked out of a fast food place because it was so disgusting you couldn't even stand to order your food "to go"? I left McDonalds the other day because it smelled like sewage. What's worse, the smell was the body order of a big fat woman behind the register. It was disgusting.

It took an hour to get a cheese pizza delivered, and there is a long blonde hair imbedded in the cheese. Do I eat the rest of the pizza or call to have a replacement ...or is hair in food just a fact of life? Maybe the replacement pizza will have something worse in it!
