What should one see before buying a LCD TV

I have a Samsung 55inch 1080i HCM5525W, It does not have any HDMI input, So I bought the cheap and expensive component cables for the PS3, when using either I get these floating lines from the bottom to the top of the screen. What the heck! My X-BOX 360 works GREAT in 1080i, but the PS3 does not.

I already upgraded the firmware and it still goes back into the menu. is it because i tried using an antenna to get tv? because i cut off my cable tv a while ago and tried to get OTA tv.. i bought an HDTV antenna.. and then the problems began after that. i unplugged the antenna cables but still the tv still goes into the menu and goes into a frenzy

a switch installed inside your TV that will invert the image upsidedown and left-right? if yes where can get someone to install it? and how much? or can i do it myself?

I just got the toshiba theater wide 50 inch plasma and I'm watching tv and see on my digital cable box it says 480i, how do I set it to the higher HD settings to maximize my tv's performance?

I have a Sony WEGA that is probably 3 or 4 years old. I got home from work and turned it on and the corners (especially one) are purple when anything white or yellow comes up on the tv. wtf?

I live in Morro Bay, CA and my satellite provider says I can’t get local channels in HD (FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC) in my area. I have heard that indoor HD antennas can pickup these local channels in HD depending on your area. Does anyone know a good HD antenna that would work in my area?

in fact, it doesn't list the DVI at all online at some websites. I'm actually waiting for it be shipped, so I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. I'm guessing it should be HDCP or else you wouldn't be able to watch HDTV. ITs a westinghouse 19inch LCD monitor, i got it at bestbuy on black friday

im looking for a tv wall mount for an olevia tv. There are mounts that work with it but my wall studs are spaced too far for it to work w/ a 2 stud mount. I want a single stud mount but want to know if this will work

Prior to living in my current residence, my TV and computer monitor worked perfectly fine. Ever since I moved into my condo two years ago my TV and Computer monitor appear to have a purple haze and general discoloration appear around the edges. I have checked and replaced all the cables and connections. Could this be an issue with the power or cable? I had the local cable company check it out but they said they were not causing the problem. By the way I have had the same cable providor at both places. Any suggestions?

I am looking at buying one of two Sony models, and I don't know what the differences are. The model numbers are KDF-50E2000 or the KDF-E50A10. Booth are 50" LCD Rear projection. Is one a newer model than the other one? Please help fast, I think I am going to buy one tommorow!
