Have you not got a family member or friend who could lend you one from their (or their kids) bedrooms for the few weeks?
If not, as has been mentioned you may be able get a cheap small one from places like Tescos, Asda or their equivalent if you are in America (K Mart ?)

It might be cheaper - and less hassle - to go out and buy a cheap second hand one. Try eBay, too.
All the rental shops went years ago as far as I know.
Er, guys, we don't have "Rent a Centre" in the UK.
