Prior to living in my current residence, my TV and computer monitor worked perfectly fine. Ever since I moved into my condo two years ago my TV and Computer monitor appear to have a purple haze and general discoloration appear around the edges. I have checked and replaced all the cables and connections. Could this be an issue with the power or cable? I had the local cable company check it out but they said they were not causing the problem. By the way I have had the same cable providor at both places. Any suggestions?

Try to find a compass with magnet needle and see if that compass can point north correctly, I suspect there's something magnetic in your condo, like high voltage wire, or lamp ballast, or something with high voltage and wire which can cause magnetic field. BTW this is serious and I'm not joking.

The discoloration around the edges of your monitors indicate an increase of magnetization. If you put speakers near your TV, it will discolor the picture because of the magnetization and how it affects CRT (the glass tube TVs).
OR... in the process of moving, you may have magnetized both units somehow.
Your computer monitor should have a "degauss" or "refresh" feature in the menu. Give that a shot.
Your TV will be a little different, as many TVs don't have that feature built in (some do), but call the manufacturer's number and find out what you can do about it.
