I am looking at buying one of two Sony models, and I don't know what the differences are. The model numbers are KDF-50E2000 or the KDF-E50A10. Booth are 50" LCD Rear projection. Is one a newer model than the other one? Please help fast, I think I am going to buy one tommorow!

My advices buy the new model (KDF-50E2000), This one has irish in the op block which can improve the black in your screen.

The E50A10 had problems last year with the lcd microchip aging prematurely and giving off a green push.

Avoid it like the plague and go with the new one.

Even better, get a DLP.

Yes, one is newer than the other.

KDF50E2000 is this year's model, where the other one came out last year. According to CNET, the KDF50E2000 is a better TV than its predecessor. Neither myself or CNET can tell the difference in specs though.

Based on the reviews, it seems to be newer is better.
