I want to get my fiance an XBOX360 ($250+/-) for Christmas, and I also want to get myself a laptop ($500+/-). My budget is low, but steady, and I wanted to place these two items on layaway. I need some ideas of where the best places are to place layaway electronics, and a good return policy, too. I heard that Wal-mart counts the first down payment as the "purchase-date" and if it takes you more time to pay it off then there return policy dates state, then they won't take the item back. Is this true? Does Walmart still have layaway? Please give me plenty of information.

i have a samsung beat and it came with a little black box that plugs into the power port, the box has a headphone jack and a logo that looks like FM)) but the slash things look smaller of coarse. it also has like a square shaped piece of shiny black plastic not to far from that symbol. ive checked the manual and found nothing. any help or ideas that dont have to do with calling the service provider.

What are some good quality earphones that are in the 30 dollars or less range? My old ones are starting to crap out on me and I know it's a matter of time before they just die. I'd use headphones, but I find them bulky and hard to carry around.

it is suppose to charge the batteries in 15 hours or less. The charger has a light that goes off when it's done charging, but after 18 hours the light was still on so I took out the batteries. I only used them in my camera for a few pictures and now they need to be charge again. Should I have left them in the charger until the light went off? I don't want to over charge, cause I don't think that is good for them.

After being fully charged, the batteries die after about two hours of use in my daughters mobile, however traditional alkaline last about 28 hours. Is that normal?

I am interested in purchasing a GPS system for my husband for Christmas, but I don't know that much about them. I have noticed that the TomTom and the Garmin are the best two brands, is this correct? Also, do you have to buy the unit and pay a monthly charge to use it like satellite radio? Or is it....you buy the unit and that's all?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks :)

My son's Christmas concert is today at school and I forgot to charge the camcorder last night. If the school will allow me to, can I actually use the camcorder while the charger is on and plugged into the wall in the auditorium, and not have the battery die on me?

I have to leave the house in an hour.

His part in the program is only for about ten minutes or less..

We just hooked up our old receiver in our bedroom last night. It worked fine last night and today. Tonight I moved around the dressers and while I did I unhooked the receiver (it's a 311) from the co-ax for about 1 minute then plugged it back in. I DID NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE!!! When I hooked it back up it won't work and comes up with an error about a problem with my multi dish switch. (Whatever that is!) I tried everything and even called tech support and he said they would have to send someone out! IT WAS JUST WORKING!!!!! Does ANYONE have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!!

I know there's gotta be some sort of small, compact, and easy to use device to make notes to myself. I want it to be digital, no little tape recorders like in my college days. I'd like to get one fairly cheap, not over $50. Does anybody out there have any ideas? I need help for this one badly. I'm on the go and that seems to be when I remember things I need to do! And if I'm without one of my kids/secretaries I need some sort of back up! Thanks

I'm wanting to buy something off of www.bestpricedbrands.co.uk but I can't find anything on the website which will tell me where they are situated or any information about them at all. Has anyone used them before and could they recommend them or has anyone got any information on the website? They look slightly dodgy to me lol. Anything at all would be much appreciated...=]

when I think I might have overzealously cleaned it...I put in the standard cleaning tape, and also used the one where are you add drops to a cassette cleaning tape. I then put in a tape- this MAY or MAY not have been a bad tape to begin with..this tape got jammed and it took quite a bit of doing to get it out..eventualy I had to unscrew the top and literally break the cassette and pullout the tape by pieces......Here's my question and my issue: in the past, when I sometimes HAVE overcleaned..I just wait for nature to take it's course and let it dry out...and it works just fine again....This time, maybe not- IF that is the problem. I put a tape in, it plays a few seconds, and then ejects. Put it in, plays, ejects. No matter what tape- cleaning or otherwise. I looked at sites that kinda' sorta' suggest how to fix VCR' s, but they're not exactly helpful or clear....I see no fuses...Why does it just pop out after a few seconds? It's a really great VCR- like new.has that great rewind-help!
