i only want answers from people who have a good stereo system, i dont care how your ipod or zune sounds thru a 200 dollor cheep-0 sony or any other low end brand sterio your bought at walmart.. or any thing like that.. i have a denon receiver and energy speakers. for a example of high end equipment..

The sound quality for the i pod is good, but not suitable for an audiophile system. Absolutely no comparison. Check this site out for more info. The compression destroys the sound quality.

the CD is much better than any mp3 or acc file in any player. but the vinyl is much better than Cd's .the best thing just coming along is DVD audio wow sounds great. I have two very high end systems and speakers(ones a home theater 7.1) the other is also a denon with Boston acoustic speakers
