We just hooked up our old receiver in our bedroom last night. It worked fine last night and today. Tonight I moved around the dressers and while I did I unhooked the receiver (it's a 311) from the co-ax for about 1 minute then plugged it back in. I DID NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE!!! When I hooked it back up it won't work and comes up with an error about a problem with my multi dish switch. (Whatever that is!) I tried everything and even called tech support and he said they would have to send someone out! IT WAS JUST WORKING!!!!! Does ANYONE have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!!

The coax cable has power running thru it. If you shorted it to many time it could have burnt up the multi switch. The multiswitch allows you to have more tv's connected to one dish.

Here is what the switch looks like http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Order/Switches/DishNetwork-switches.htm

Make sure the coaxial cable going into the box giving you trouble is screwed snugly.
