My Dad has a stack of brilliant old pictures to convert. Good quality and high res are worth the effort, and something that can do them in batches would be nice.

This may be a simple question to some, but I'm so lost... I'm trying to determine what kind of adapter I need. I already know I need 12v 1a... The diagram on the device shows the negative on the outside and positive on the inside... as such:

(-)----(o-----(+)

Is this a standard 12v DC? AC/DC?
How do you read it to determine what exact polarity you need (is this the devices polarity or that required of the power prong?), and how can you determine this simply by looking at the information given on an adapter?

The LEDs need DC 5V and 20mA. I have a power supply with 5V DC and 850mA. How do I wire the LEDs in parallel? I tried once with no resistors but all the LEDs went out or blew within 2 minutes?

I have an LG washing machine (model: WM-1280FHD) and the door will not open. The cycle has finished, the drum is empty of water and the door has 'clicked' as per usual to notify that the safety lock is off. I don't really want to pay £50 for some cowboy repair man to open it... any suggestions anyone??!?!

I'm looking for something to provide a basic covering for chocolate block terminals, preferably something that just plugs into the terminal coverings. It's for an existing wiring project, so something simple would be best. Any ideas ?
