i need one for a semenar i am going to next months, but i am not sure they allow them so i need one i can fit in my shirt and that will record from 9-5pm. if i will need to buy extra tapes i will. i want to make sure i get the most out of this semenar.

ok so i have a really nice sony surround sound system and it has a radio in it. and i can not figure out how to get a decent signal. a friend told me to hook up a tv antenna and use an UHF/VHF thing that converts a cable wire to these 2 prong thing that go on a screw. then push them in the spot where it takes the wires. cuz in the bak it has 4 spots for wires 2 for fm 2 for am but on one of the ams it says it has an arrrow pointing to another fm saying 75 and a little horse shoe thing. so i put one of the prongs in to an fm and one on this little screw at the top that says ground. obviously i dont no wut im doing so any help on all this stuff would be awesome.

What's a programmable calculator and how do I tell if mine is or not? I need to have a non-programmable one for a test i'm getting next week but can't work out if mine is or not plus i've lost the instructions for it!!!

I want to know if its possible to connect my dvd player (this is just a normal dvd player that you use with a TV) to my laptop.
If so, what cable(s) do i need and where do i have to connect it to my laptop?

(BTW: I know its a strange question but the thing is i have an old laptop and it doesnt play dvd's on it and i dont want to spend money on an external dvd rom. In any case my laptop is not for carrying around....i use it as a desktop)

I own a Panasonic dvd recorder with hard drive. Recording 1 hour straight on hard drive; to copy it on a dvd I must record the whole show. I just can't copy onto dvd bits and pieces of the show from hard drive. Model# Panasonic DMR-E85H

I feel that everytime I buy a hot new gadget, like a few months later, a newer and better one comes out. Like mp3 players, computers, digital cameras, palm pilots, cell phones, dvd players etc. How do you know which model to buy and when to buy them? What do you do if you saw a better model come out?
