Don't ask Dyson - just get recommendations from Yahoo visitors. I've used one & they're great - & you actually know when it's full - unlike a bag, where you'd have to keep checking. It seriously doesn't matter how much you spend - all you need to know is that, yes, you ARE getting value for money.

I have had my Dyson for over 8 years - well worth the money. It has only been serviced once in that time. Dyson engineer comes out to your house to do the service and will replace any parts - all for the price of 55 pounds.

I have had two Dyson hoovers, yes they are good but I have now discovered the Henry which is brilliant. It is a cylinder vaccum and very powerful. I much prefer it to a dyson and it is a lot cheaper about £70.00 Give it a go.

Dysons are the best vaccum cleaners i've had one for years and would never go back to any other make. You get what you pay for.

For about a $100 you can get a bag vacuum and clean better. No matter what Dyson or any other bagless manufacturer says in the long term you get better suction with a bag vacuum. Simply put your are using the same filter which clogs up overtime, while everytime you replace a bag you are also replacing the filter. Unless you want to spend $30 to replace your filter in a bagless every 6 months, vs a $3.00 bag? Save your money, just look for a high-amp bag vacuum. If it burns up in 3 years your still ahead $400.
