I'm thinking of buying a Mac but with that money I could buy a dell or h computer two or three times better.

What do you recommend me?

Well I have the new iMac G5 20" and it is AWESOME!!!
We all use Mac's here at work due to the fact that they rarely ever get viruses. The viruses that are out there are targeted toward PC's and not Mac's. Now the only downfall is that there are some applications that Mac's do not have & cannot do. Like the AOL TV I cannot watch the videos on my Mac, but I can on my home PC. We are always having issues with our PC at home, viruses, backdoor worms, and I have bought and loaded every virus, spyware, firewall thing that there is. And we still have issues. Had Mac's here at work since 1995 and never once have any of us had an issue.
And the new G5 is sweet. All I have is a huge flat screen monitor and keyboard with mouse. That's it!!! No Hard Drive.. it is all in the monitor. I can still burn discs, watch movies, play cds, the disc drive is also in my monitor... it is such a space saver that way. And I always get comments from customers or vendors when they come in my office and see it. But operation wise it is fantastic. Just remember that not all software or applications are compatibale.

I am a Mac user, I will NEVER go back to windows. I have a stable operating system, I do NOT get the blue screen of death, I don't have resource problems.

I don't worry about viruses, and I don't even have to run a defrag, Mac knows when it needs to be done and does it.

If you want to see Vista, go to the Apple store, we have been running it for over a year. In fact, Apple will be replacing it soon, with it new and improved operating system. The windows users will get the same features as the 2007 Apple OS probably about 2010.

When I call for help or with a question, I get an American person who knows what they are talking about for support. If you buy a Dell or an HP, you will sit on the phone for hours to talk to someone who is reading a script in a language that barely resembles English.

Did I mention, I can take my computer to an Apple store and someone will work on it right there in front of me, and they too know English, and they will answer any questions that I may have.

BTW, the new Macs can also run Windows, but I have no desire to do that.

Buy that Dell or whatever, but remember the old adage about being penny wise and pound foolish.

I know nothing about computers, but a friend of mine does. He says go with PC. It's still the standard by far. He also said that the differences between them have lessened greatly when MAC switched to 'Intel', (whatever that is). Hope this helps. ;)

Buy a PC. Why would want to a Mac. Their good use is you can buy them to match a rooms colour scheme.

its really preference. some people will swear that they would die before trading their mac in for a pc, and yett it still seams that pc's r more popular. if u have a friendwith a pc, ask if u can check it out. same with mac.

Unless you're planning to do some heavy graphic or editing work, don't bother with paying for the Mac, it's not worth it unless you are really going to use it.
