I'm looking for something to provide a basic covering for chocolate block terminals, preferably something that just plugs into the terminal coverings. It's for an existing wiring project, so something simple would be best. Any ideas ?

You need a 'Chocbox' you will probably have to go to an electrical wholesalers to get them, otherwise a friendly spark!

If such a product is available it is designed by the 'chocolate block' manufacture to fit their terminal. It is unlikely that a generic cover that readily plugs in would exists. I would start by examining the block for a manufactures name or logo, then get in touch with the people who sell their product. As an alternative GC Waldom carries 'fish paper', which is an insulator, almost like card stock, that can be cut to fit.
