Peoples have you noticed that you sometimes get a thumbs up or down when you post a question even though no one has answered your question as yet. I've noticed it twice today.

So when YA's team were having a coffee break the other day do you think they were installing survelence devices to spy on us.......oooh! Curious goings on!

can anyone explain to me how my toaster knows when it's time to go Bing!?.

I've unscrewed it and looked inside.... no obvious signs of timer of any such like mechanism. I ask because I've just burnt the toast and the kitchen is full of acrid smoke, normally the toaster goes bing when the toast is ready without any burning (using same type of bread). Very strange.

I've put the toaster back together and it still works.

My PC's power supply says it supplies DC -12V 14A. Can I use this power supply without modding? I know I can combine all the yellow (-12V) and black (Ground) cords together to make this possible.

To be precise, this is a Bestec 250W power supply I am using.

Whenever I say words with 'p', I am saying it with a strong 'p' sound. Then when I play back my voice, those words begin with a loud quick static noise that indicated that I said it too strongly. You should know what I mean if you've spoken into a microphone. I am using Audacity, if anyone is familiar with that. If there's any effect on that program that would make it go away, without ruining the rest of the program, that would be great.

I have already tried moving my mouth farther away from the microphone, but then I simply hear my voice too quietly on playback. And even that doesn't reduce it too much. Any help is much appreciated.
