The drive will show up when you open "My Computer". It's usually either E: or F:. When you save a file, you will have the option to save it to a flash drive. You can also drag files in the drive.

In Windows, you'll plug the drive into a USB port on your computer, and either Windows will ask you what you want to do with it (you will normally want "Open folders to view files"), or you can open My Computer and you will see a new drive in the list.
Most desktop computers have USB ports on the back, some also have additional ports on the front, and most laptops have them on the side. They are usually identified with a three-pronged image that looks sort of like a curvy pitchfork.

You just plug it into your hard drive -does the same thing as the old floppy. You typically plug it into a port at the back of the hard drive. Mine has a cord that plugs into HD so I can keep it close and not have to get on the floor to put it in/take out. It acts the same way. It will come up in "My Computer" as a different drive .....Save away. I luv mine, I can take it to other offices if needed.

Plug the drive into your USB port, wait for Windows XP to recognize the drive and then drag and drop the files like you did years ago when using floppy disks.
