I got one at Office Max for $10 and it came with 4 AA batteries. That was a few years back though. I just checked the wesite and it looks like they have a range from $20-40 depending on how fast you want them to charge. They all come with 4 AA batteries, but they were just Ni-MH.
I got the dual-type charger for my classroom from the "School Specialty" catelog (Don't know if you can get one of those.). It recarges all sizes from AAA to D and 9V. It rocks. You can even put different sizes in at the same time, and each section does have an indicator light as to when the battery is fully charged. I think this one was between $30-40.
