In the late 90s my friends used to mock me for not being 'up-to-date'. Whilst I was still buying CDs, they were all buying MDs for their £300 MD portable players. Today, CDs still lead the market in music data storage and sales, but MDs have all but disappeared from the shops. Who's mocking me now? hehe.

I recently bought an iPod Shuffle from Target (because I'm such a cheapo XP) and until now the right earphone is having problems. The volume is so low that I pretty much have to put it on full blast to hear it (but the left earphone is completely fine). This probably happened because I was scuffing my feet on carpet and it shocked me through my earphones. >_>;

Is there a way to fix it or should I just replace it?

FOUND IT SO COOL....but i hate mp3 players with non removale batteries so if you dont know what it is type NWS706FB on google and you will find it eseasily.

Is it true that the only way you can get music on an ipod is through itunes, or can you put the songs from your cd's and real player music library on it?

Even though it says its charged and synced with my music. Should I keep it connected or does it just say this even if it is fully charged and it's hooked up.

i accedentily left it on teh bus yesterday (i know already i shouldnt have taken it to school), and a high school kid found it, brought it to the bus driver and said it was his, but he would pay her for it,, she took it and was going to give it to him tomorrow but my mom called and now he is saying it is his and i dont know how i am going to get it back

My daughter loves to listen to music and requested one of these for her birthday!! She's going to be 13 and she knows more about the ipod because most of her friends have one. However I heard of this new Zune by Microsoft(I think) and now have the option of purchasing either one. What would be a better buy. Also the ipod is a 30GB with the video screen stuff.Thanks for your input!!

I was considering buying an Ipod shuffle since I am on a budget currently. I just went to my local best buy to see what they got. I noticed for the price of a shuffle ($80) I could get another brand with 1 Gigbyte of storage. Some of these other brands look like a better deal. Eventhough, I do think the whole Ipod lineup is nice (not knockin' em), I am just thinking that there are just as good options out there??

Thoughts on this?

i bought a pack thinking i could erase and rerecord on them (cd-rw's). i cant erase my songs on it to put new songs on. how do i erase the information already on the cd?

okay so when i change the information on a song in a playlist (genre or album or whatever) it doesnt change the info in the library and other playlists. It also doesnt change the info on my ipod. Any ideas?

the speakers have gone a bit funny these past few weeks, it plays normally and sounds ok, but when i put the volume up sometimes it makes a noise like scratching or something. i've had the player for around 3 or 4yrs, is it time to get a new one?
