Even though it says its charged and synced with my music. Should I keep it connected or does it just say this even if it is fully charged and it's hooked up.

Its says do not disconnect because you have to eject it first. You can do this many ways:

1. Next to the graphic of your ipod on itunes there should be a little icon which you can click to eject your ipod.

2. Go to the bottom of the page on itunes and there should be an eject button.

3. On your desktop if there is a picture of your ipod, you can right click it and it will say eject.

Once you eject it, the message will disappear and you can unplug it.

Warning: If you do unplug it while it has the Do Not Disconnect message you can lose your songs.

Hello, how you doing?

The iPod (assuming you don't have a future gen) will never say "It's OK to disconnect". Sorry but the first answerer is lying.

There is an Eject button you could press next to the iPod in the Source list and it is there again right in the very bottom right hand corner, once clicked, after a couple of seconds, you should be on your main menu on your iPod.

If this doesn't work out, there is a Safely Remove Hardware icon in the windows task tray (assuming you are on windows) and click on the USB or Firewire port your iPod is using and remove it

Hope this helps, have a nice day :)

it has to sync all of the music. after it's done, the screen will get bright and then go back to normal and keep charging if it needs to. (a tip: only plug your ipod into a computer that has itunes and YOUR itunes on it. if you plug it in just to charge and the comp doesnt have itunes, it will say do not disconnect for as long as it is plugged in) hope that helps!

first of all don't disconnect it, because it will probably corrupt any files it is working on or just delete them, or whatever it does it won't be good

you can leave it there for a while, because it really shouldn't take THAT long to transfer, so just give it some time

OR

down on the bottom bar click the disconnect button in the ipod icon, there should also be a button in the file menu

You need to eject it from iTunes. In the left side sources window in iTunes, to the right of your iPod icon is an eject button.
