I have a new Sony NW-A1000 mp3 player. When I connect it to my PC it is recognised, but then continuously disconnects and reconnects itself. I have the up-to-date firmware, and drivers. This happens with the CONNECT player software and the SonicStage software. What is causing this?

I know there is a way that a lot of mp3s can be put on a cd, but I am not sure how to do it. Also, when you burn cds like that, can they play in all cd players or only certain ones? Thanks!

when i open windows media player and go to "copy songs from cd" , they're not listed, Im guessing cause theyre from a mp3 cd rather than a normal audio cd. How do I get the songs onto my computer?

I am considering purchasing a Sansa portable mp3 player, mainly so I can use Real's Rhapsody on the go. However I was curious as to whether there were to be any new "breakthroughs" in portable media technology soon (besides larger storage space). If so, I would hold off buying and wait for the new technology.

I just bought a Zen V 4GB MP3 player from Creative Labs. I was just wondering if any of you know of a safe site where I can get free/legal music from... I heard that people like LimeWire, but at the same time, I heard from other people that it is a virus magnet. Any advice?

I charged my Ipod fully and listened to it for about 20 min. Then I turned it off and put it on hold. I woke up the next morning and the battery died (said it was low and i needed to connect it to power). This has happened several times now. I have had my ipod for about a year now. What is going on? (this has never happened until around 2 weeks ago)

Whenever I click on my shortcut for iTunes on my desktop now it always reinstalls and I have to go through the whole "Agreement" and installation. When it does come back up my songs are all gone. The only way I can stop this is by not shutting down my computer and just minimizing iTunes and always leaving my computer on. Any help with this would be great. Thanks

I have a white 1st generation iPod nano, and it's been great so far. This morning, though, I woke up and discovered it had been running all night, and it had a blank screen. I figured the battery was uber-low, so I connected it to the computer. It showed the "Battery Extremely Low. Do Not Disconnect." screen, and I was glad. But after about 5 minutes of this, it showed the apple logo without a background light. Then it lit up. Then my iPod shut off altogether. And the cycle started over again (logo, light up, shut off). I've tried resetting, connected AND disconnected (didn't work), switching it to another USB port (didn't work), switching it to a different computer (didn't work), resetting while it was connected to THAT computer (didn't work), relaunching iTunes, and restarting the computer. Nothing seems to work! The iPod doesn't realize it's connected (most of the time), and the computer never realizes my iPod's connected. Help me! I've looked everywhere!

Okay, so my daughter is in 7th grade and in track. She complains that her friends iPods have been stolen. Everyone in track puts their bags down in the schools basement. Over 3 people have had their iPods stolen. 2 of them were $300 video iPods. I'm guessing people who arent on track are going downstairs and rummaging through people's bags and taking their iPods. Well everyone else is afraid to lose their iPods, what should they do? I mean, not bringing their Ipods to school would be smart, but what if they need them on the bus or something? What should they do? (its easy to get in someone's locker, so that wont work) HELP!!!
