your ipod should of came with a cord that hooks into your ipod and your computer. once you put some songs onto itunes, you just plug the cord in to each, the computer and ipod, then it should automatically start to transfer the songs from your itunes to your ipod.

I have had two iPods, an old version and the newest one that came out, and the only way to get music is from your computer to your iPod. Since you plug your iPod into your computer it takes the files you select from it. There isn't a way to reverse it.
