i want my music to be free and legal and im not that intelligent so it has to be easy too.

I'm racking my brains trying to convert FLAC files to WAV. I have FLAC files which are set to be opened using Winamp under the properties. I downloaded FLAC Frontend to convert these to WAV. I add the files to Frontend but I keep getting "flac.exe not found". Please help!!!!

my computer crashed yesterday so i rebooted it but i lost all my songs in the copmputer, but the night before i sync my ipod and i have all the songs on my ipod but i have no idea how to ge them back on my computer help my out please my music is my life

My friend put some of his music on my iPod. Is there a way for my iTunes to manage these files? That is, can I keep some, but not have my iPod show them? Can I extract these files onto my computer?

....without losing *all* the music I bought (that's most likely protected) from Sony? I am no longer a fan of Sony as the last few products I bought from the brand have failed after only a few months of use. I bought a Sony Bean Mp3 walkman last year and it sucks, but I have a ton of "purchased music" from the Sony Connect program that I don't want to lose, but rather transfer to an iPod. Is it possible to make this switch or am I totally screwed?

Sometimes my Ipod won't switch off when I press down and hold the 'play' button. Once I even had to let the battery run down so that it automatically switched itself off, that can't be good for the battery though. It doesn't happen a lot, just every now and then, but it's infuriating!!! Somebody help!!!

Any ideas on how to vary the order my itunes are played in? When I select shuffle on my ipod or itunes the same ones come up again and again! I have 1000 songs on there and some are never played!

a freind has given me a DVD with 40 different music albums on it,
i need to try and save it to my pc so i can then transfer them to blank CD's(for personal use obviously)

I've got a nice library of music on my computer that I've ripped from CD, mostly at 256kbs. I'm wanting to copy a lot of it onto an mp3 player (not an IPod), but wanting to be able to get as much music on as possible, so I'm wanting to make copies of the songs at, say, a 96kbs rip rate. But I don't want to have to sit down and re-rip every single cd (what can I say, I'm lazy) Is there a way to make lower bit rate copies of the songs without doing it over again, and if so, what programs do it well? I need the songs to end up in mp3 or wma formats when done.

my bro just got a new ipod and u know u go download itunes...well my friend did it-she downloads for free. Even the people at walmart and circuit city said that it is free?! Well we downloaded it but it says i have to enter credit card info. it wont let me just download! i don't understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i might have the receipt at work but what if i dont find it? I know what day and around what time i bought it and i even bought a 2 year warranty and i have the receipt for that right now with me. the ipod got frozen, the screen say that the computer found some corrupt itunes in my ipod and that i have to reset it but the thing doesnt even respond! it was a gift for my bf and he is mad at me for leaving the receipt at work because he says i wont find it. i bought it at best buy and it was "used" someone returned it but they said it was totally fine and they gave me a 15 dlls discount. please i dont know what to do!!! i paid it with my credit card.
