Any ideas on how to vary the order my itunes are played in? When I select shuffle on my ipod or itunes the same ones come up again and again! I have 1000 songs on there and some are never played!

no problem. although it does sound strange that the same songs play again and again because every time you press the shuffle button, it should play a different "shuffled" playlist.

Here is one suggestion, go to "Preferences" in iTunes, then select "Playback." The last option on the bottom of the screen should be, "Smart shuffle".
Customise at your hearts content.

Good luck...

Just spent half an hour looking for this link on my favourites.(I must get around to organising folders).

I had the same problem and so a google search eventually lead me to this. It doesn't actually use the shuffle function to work and so is much more adjustable. Takes longer to setup, but works more efficiently in the end.

i go to my recently played playlist, because then it has my songs that i actually listen to on it. or you can just make a playlist with all of your favs. i never use my song.
