I've seen people recommend a program called iDump for copying songs back to your computer. It's a free program. I haven't used it, though, since I keep everything that I put onto my iPod stored on my hard drive(200GB). You might have some luck with that. Just do a search for iDump.

Use this program "sharepod" it goes right on your ipod allowing you to transfer songs to and from your ipod to any computer. it will even put music on your ipod from multiple computers. get it at http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod
Hope this helps.
