I want to buy an ipod but i have some questions.I want one for tv episodes(probably Family Guy) and music.

1.Which is the best model of the ipod?the ipod nano?I want a screen large enough to watch a movie or tv episode.
2.How much does a 5GB ipod cost?How many songs does it hold?I dont need like 10,000 songs but i dont want 500. 1000-2000 is about right.or maybe even 3000.prices?
3.Where is the best place to buy an ipod?I am in Canada right now,so Best Buy?I dont like buying stuff off of the internet(except itunes,if i got an ipod)
4.I dont want to have to charge it on my computer.is there a charger with it or do i have to buy one separatly?

My computer was just erased so I lost all my music files. I have them all stored on my ipod, so if I plug my ipod in can I download them to my computer? How?

before i do these, i wanted to ask ANYONE out there who knows these stuff..ok, here's what i'm worried about -- once i deleted songs fr.iTunes library & on iTunes folder, once i plugged in the USB cable to my computer -- would it also deletes the songs i already have from my iPod? ( i no longer need these songs coz it's already downloaded to my iPod - i wanted to start a new folder)..

I have one and it is a great product once you learn all the features.The problem i have is once i put the song on cd the bass does not hit as hard.Help please

I haven't loose any songs at all... just lost the library from my computer. I don't want to sync my iPod with the computer and loose ALL my ratings, Play Counts, etc. The sad thing is that iTunes software basically allows repairs, updates only one way (PC to iPod).

I tried a few 3rd parties programs without good results!

I just got my first iPod and my brother used his mac to load it up with songs. I want to add some more using my PC but am a little afraid of losing everything he already put on. I know that I have to disable the auto update thing. My real question is will I be able to now use my video iPod on my PC so I can add my own songs and videos?

I have .m4a files on a CD-R and want to erase them. I tried selecting individually and then selecting all, then pressing delete and apple+delete. Neither worked.

I know little about the subject but my boyfriend is really into DJs and dance music. I want to get him some equipment but like I said, I don't have a clue and I can't really ask him coz I want it to be a surprise. Can anybody help me out here? What are the basics? I mean what are the bare essentials he would need in order to create music. Turntables, decks, mixers? And what would be extras on top of that i.e. not essential but the next step up. Is there anywhere on-line I could find out what all the different things to do and what would be best to buy for the music he wants to make? Please help.

Well I have been researching iPods and other mp3 players because, well, I'm tired of having to whip out my laptop everytime I want to hear a song. When I was finished researching, I found that my choices are the iPod and the Zen Vision M thingy... Well a lot of people were talking about how the Zen is better, because the quality of the movies was better on it and people were saying iPods were better because the sound quality was better. I don't really plan on watching to many videos on whatever I buy because I have my laptop for that, so here it is... Which is better....................

P.S. I noticed also that people were against iPod because they seem to want to be "non-conformists" (which puts you into a state of conformity but trying to be a non-conformist so hard... but I digress). And also people are for iPod cause "they're pretty and trendy" so yeah. That being said I would like reasons OTHER than these...

So i had my Ipod nana (8gb) plugged into my comp and it showed the battery charging and still had the song I was playing before I plugged in on the monitor. It didnt have the "do not disconnect" sign flashing so I disconnected it and its froze what do i do?

I just got my iPod last weekend and it's already giving me a problem. I plugged it into my Mac and it wasn't showing up on the computer. So I started switching the hold button on and off. But it's just frozen. With the "Do not disconnect" and the hold button icon is still there. Can anyone help me please? I tried everything on the Apple iPod support site but nothing is working.
