I just got my iPod last weekend and it's already giving me a problem. I plugged it into my Mac and it wasn't showing up on the computer. So I started switching the hold button on and off. But it's just frozen. With the "Do not disconnect" and the hold button icon is still there. Can anyone help me please? I tried everything on the Apple iPod support site but nothing is working.

Alright first hold the menu button and the centre button until the apple logo appears then it *should* come back to life in the main menu screen. If that doesnt work try restoring it with the apple update tool. or in itunes.
Another thing, if your ipod is a second hand ipod chances are that it was formatted on a computer running windows which inturn means that your ipod is a winpod. and in that case..... google is your friend =)

there is a do not disconnect sign.
Safely remove it from ur mac, then disconnect it. If not, disconnect it the way it is, its ok if u do it once, but dont do it many times, unplug it the way it is, except if ur copying something to it.

i know, mine did the same thing.all you have to do is wait until it runs out of battery (with the plug out of the computer) and then plug it back in and then turn it on.it should work.
