Hi I know everyone is tired of this question but...?

Question

Well I have been researching iPods and other mp3 players because, well, I'm tired of having to whip out my laptop everytime I want to hear a song. When I was finished researching, I found that my choices are the iPod and the Zen Vision M thingy... Well a lot of people were talking about how the Zen is better, because the quality of the movies was better on it and people were saying iPods were better because the sound quality was better. I don't really plan on watching to many videos on whatever I buy because I have my laptop for that, so here it is... Which is better....................

P.S. I noticed also that people were against iPod because they seem to want to be "non-conformists" (which puts you into a state of conformity but trying to be a non-conformist so hard... but I digress). And also people are for iPod cause "they're pretty and trendy" so yeah. That being said I would like reasons OTHER than these...

let's consider this fact:
Ipod video can play AAC DRM songs but ZEN Vision M cannot.
Again, ZEN Vision M can play WM DRM protected songs but Ipod cannot.

By Ipod video various games, softwares can be installed and played.Besides, notebook, addressbook can be saved too.ZEN M cannot do that.
ZEN vision M has FM tuner but IPOD does not have it.
ZEN's photo viewing is more enjoyable than ipod.
The images you view often is stored in a folder named Most viewed images like a music playlist on a music player!
Thats cool.
Actually ZEN has better screen than IPod.And you need better screen-thats not only for video playing[as you have no demand for it] but for everything.
In reality, IPOD has a vast range of accesories like external speakers,support centre etc.
Actually sound quality of a ZEN is really better than an IPOD.
So, not to the basis of pretty and trendyness, but on quality
ZEN Vision M is better than IPOD Video.

Well, all the people you mentioned above, are right. See what your idea is. iPod is really expensive with less features than Creative. Zen has FM radio, microphone, and lots of other things that iPod doesn't and you have to buy them separately if you need. I have a Zen V Plus and I really love it, and the sound quallity is also perfect. And don't forget the videos! When you see you have the right device for playing them, you sure will change your mind ;).

i have a lot of experience with both, id boil it down like this: ipods have excellent software, but fewer features and less battery life. also, ipods are locked to one computer.

zen is very open to any computer and more files, and the hardware works beautifully, but their software is absolutely attrocious, bordering on unusable.

Go for the Ipod, it's trusted and established music gadget.
