My computer was just erased so I lost all my music files. I have them all stored on my ipod, so if I plug my ipod in can I download them to my computer? How?

You can, but I don't know how.

What I do know is that you should answer NO when you first plug in your ipod and it asks you if you want to sync your itunes and your ipod - I did this before, and it just emptied out my ipod.

There's a way to use your ipod like a 'memory stick' and this is how you would be able to restore the music onto your itunes.

you need a computer that has Itunes on it (to communicate with your Ipod) assuming that was also deleted. Or re-install Itunes from the CD or download it from Apple. Plug in your ipod and re-synch
