Ive been trying to set up my PS3 wireless for a while. I already have a working router and its working for my wireless laptop. When i go to set up my PS3 i go into it to set it up and i get through the whole thing and at the end the IP adress and the other one both go "succeeded" but then it tells me i need to get a system update (2.01) and i go into that and it rests on 0% for about 10min then just quits out and says error 80710723 something about the wireless connection failing. If there might be something specific im doing wrong plz tell me, and i will need u to elaborate as i have no idea with technology. Help much appreciated!

One is priced lower than the other, and can you still play PS2 games on the new system?

when im playing motore storm on da ps3 with the motion sencor the car turns to the left by its self and when i try to turn it right its like it wont let me. and the same thing goes with heavenly sword when i shoot da arrow the arrow goes to the left and it wont let me do anything els while useing the motion sencor. and i just got my ps3 like 3weeks ago... what should i do? or what do you thinks wrong?????

i conected the ps3 with the ethernet cable to my modem, thats conected to my laptop, but when i try to get on, it tells me to check the settings. i do, but i cant find anything wrong, could it be the modem? or what?

Iam thinking about getting a PS3 the 399$ to watch blue ray movies and regular dvd movies. I really don't play much video games but every once and a while i do plus i like resident evil and its coming up next year for PS3 i guess.
DO YOU THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA?
And do i need to buy the air fan if i want to watch just a movie or just play for an hour or so ? And do i need to buy anything else?

I have a few questions to ask before buy a PS3 (:D)

1. Is it true the new models have no backwards compatability?
2. Should I format the HDD before I put any stuff on it?
3. And also very stupidly is there a danger of the OS beeing wiped if I format the HDD?

My PS3 froze twice. Yesterday and today. When I play Motostorm, yesterday, during the game online, it freezes. Is it because of the server? Also when, after I played Motorstorm, I plug in a USB and went to the USB icon to download a music video, it freezes and I can't reboot that. Any suggestions of what is happening?

My old ps2 is pretty much messed up( I got it when it first came out) it dosent work on some of my ps2 games , I didnt really take good care of it...anyway I was decied to get new ps3 but after some research ps3 80GB can only work most of ps2 games and I also need the Memory card adapter for my old ps2 memories so i was thinking should I get:

PS2 : $149.99
PS3(40gb) : $399.99
total : 549.98
or

PS3(80gb) : $499.99
Memory Card adapter: $14.99

p.s. Most of my games are rpg games and I dont want them not to work on my ps3(since ps3 80gb possibly dosent work some of ps2 or psx games) and also need the memory card adapt cuz I didnt finished the games
