yes, xbox 360 has a triple core processer(3 processors, but sold/built as 1 unit)
it is true that each core runs at 3.2 gigahertz, but due to simultaneous multithreading(SMT) also termed as shadowing, each core can make 2 shadows of its self, with each shadow also running at 3.2 gigahertz. So the xbox 360 technically runs as if it has 9 processors at 28.8 gigahertz (full out, 100% capacity)
but this is only talking about the 90nanometer consoles
I don't know the info on the 65nanometer consoles or the 45 nanometer consoles of the future

Yeah, I think that the Xbox 360 does have 3 processors. The PS3 has 8 processors.

Yes, the 360 uses an intel processor with something like 3 or 4 processors in it...
PS3 on the other hand uses a mega processor with 8 different processing cells working in parallel for intense gameplay.
both run at 3.2 GHz per processor but when compared 360 runs at 9.6 GHz whereas PS3 runs at around 25 GHz !!!
