So I just checked and the PS2 version of the game is only 30 dollers, but the PS3 version is twice as much. If PS3's can play PS2 games, why would I pay 30 dollers more?

Usually the difference between PS2 games and their PS3 counterparts are graphics. I played NHL 08 for PS2 on my PS3 and I almost threw up It looked so shitty, I might get it for the PS3, and I have no doubt it will look 10x better. It's almost worth it to get the PS2 but really the graphics are sooooo bad its really not, also sometimes the games dont work exactly as they should, so... I think its better just to go with the real thing, but you never know rent it and see.
