As far as another PS3 price drop, I really don't have a good idea seeing that Sony has dropped the price on the 60GB, 80GB, and they introduced the 40GB PS3 just this year.

I think that the 40GB PS3's price will drop sometime next year probably around next summer time or next Christmas season. As for the 80GB PS3's price drop, it will most likely occur at the same time as the 40GB PS3's price drop, but I wouldn't expect another price drop until at least 6- 12 months from now.

The PS3 has had $3 hundred in fee cuts in 3 years. this is remarkable in the video activity international. in addition to, Sony would not could desire to compete with the 360 in terms of fee. The PS3 is merchandising so properly proper now people do no longer look to care that the 360 is greater much less high priced, as Sony is having challenge preserving PS3s in inventory on the retail shops (and that they nonetheless assume furnish to be very tight over here couple of months). i do no longer see yet another fee decrease for the PS3. Ever. properly, no longer till the launch of the subsequent psand this is many years away. Sony has no incentive to make anymore fee cuts because of the fact the final customer base is satisfied with the present fee (regardless what the contest is at).

There will be one ofcourse but not any time soon. Sony just cut the price of the 80GB recently to $499.99. And the 40GB is $399.99 now. That's about as low as it's going to be for now.

Sorry.
