I just got a ps3 and need to update it but don't have it for the internet. Is there a way to do it through playstation.com, download the update, burn it to DVD, insert DVD in ps3 and install it that way?

The ps3 is great. But what would you add to make it better?

For example, I love EA sport games Dynasty and Franchise/Owner modes. However, recruiting, scouting, training, trading, building, moving, ect.. takes a ton of time, and although its great fun, It does not use the console to even 4% of its capability. I think it would be great if you could take care of some of that offline/non gameplay business via the psp by porting the data back and forth via usb or memstick. This way you can take care of non gameplay business on the subway or anytime you are free but are not at home. I would buy a psp if I could do that!
What about a true NextGen Light Zapper compatible with all FPSs. I’m not talking about that cheap time crisis crap. I’m talking about a gun loaded with sophisticated vibration features, and is WIRELESS using Bluetooth and IR tech. I have a 96inch HD projector and would love to play COD4 with something like that!
Besides better graphics, what features would you add?

I have recently bought a playstation 3, since the controllers are now powered by USB, I cannot use my guitars for guitar hero! WOE IS ME!!!!

No bother, I've learned that there is an adapter for 19.99 that I can obtain, to convert the usb into a multi tap for classical ps2 controllers. My question is, will this adaption function properly for my old GH Guitars? I dont need controllers, I need guitars, so buying it for using my old controllers isnt something I'd be interested in doing.

Has anybody tried to do this yet? Let me know!

PS3 has a system update through the Internet so it seems that there is really no need for a new PS4. But what can Sony do if they still want to have an improved version of PS3? I am going to buy my fiance a PS3 40GB for Christmas. I just want to know from anyone that has it, if it is worth the money, and if the games are much better than PS2. Also, I can only afford the 40GB. Is this good enough, in your opinion compared to the 80GB? Just want opinions on this before I spend $350. Thanks so much!
