I would contact the manufacturers of the software and hardware. You should still be within your 12 month warranty period.

Try defragging the hard drive and reinstalling the network card..... Finally, reboot the bluetooth and wifi adaptors....

That should do it.

Wonderful to hear another old speccy working
I have a Spectrum 128k +2 , not used it for years, but it still should work.

It may be a stretched or degraded tape -
I remember loading times of 5 to 20 minutes, so i know how frustrating the crashing can be

Find a speccy fan near you, with a copy of the game, and use a double tapedeck to copy the game if they are not prepared to sell. You have no chance of buying the game new, I doubt the manufacturer still has any copies.

I have a few hundred games, a lot off the covers of magazines like Sinclair user. Sorry none of the magazines survive. I have seen a few speccy games turn up in second hand and charity shops, but a lot of those in the shops wouldn't know what the are

Yes the tape the data is stored on has probably got stretched over time and lost some signal quality.
Try Recording the game onto another cassette at the highest volume setting.

EDIT...
Oh yes try a head cleaner for the cassette player on your spectrum too.
Hope i helped ;)

ZX Spectrum 48K ? Should you not get something a bit more up to date? Early 80's technology is out of date.
