If it's a small LCD/Plasma tv then it should be ok-ish.
But if it's a huge heavy tv, then no.
Put it sideways or on top of the tv.

That depends on two factors: 1)the weight of the TV, and 2) whether you will be operating the PS2.
If you will be operating the PS2, you should not place the TV on top b/c it will block ventilation and may cause overheating.
If you will not be operating the PS2, it depends on the weight of the TV and the distribution of the TV stand. If the stand has a small footprint, you may want to place a board between the TV and the PS2 to distribute the weight. If the TV is really heavy, it is probably a bad idea to put on top regardless.

Your not suppose to lay anything on a PS2 especially a TV.Not only is heat from the underbody of the TV gonna come in contact with the PS2 but that will put alot of stress on the PS2 also and could possibly crack the caseing.

The TV might be too heavy for the plastic PS2. Why not place the PS2 on the side of your TV in a vertical position?

you are able to try putting the ps2 decrease than the television yet once you notice sounds popping out of the ps2 than its probable no longer a good thought to maintain it there.. additionally.. Ps2's are extremely vulnerable and are not that strongly equipped because of the fact the recent structures are so counting on whether you think of the ps2 would be waiting to withhold the television's weight, you're able to do what you like.. desire it works out!!!!!

Other than the weight issue.
You have to think about heating issues.
If the TV outputs a lot of heat.. and the PS2 outputs a lot of heat (I know mine does) then you risk the chance of both the TV and PS2 over heating.

depends on how big the tv is-but i wouldn't advise it-ps2's were never designed to have stuff plonked on top of them.
